Breitling Join Watches & Wonders 2027 and Dates Announced

Watches & Wonders 2026

It was only two months ago that we were talking to Watches & Wonders CEO Matthieu Humair [about the 2026 edition of the show and already they’re looking ahead to 2027. The first details about next year’s show have been officially announced including the official dates and a first glimpse of some brands that are set to attend for the first time.

Watches & Wonders 2027 Dates

Starting with the dates, the show is set to return to Palexpo from April 5 – 11th, 2027. That brings it to a full week from Monday to Sunday, an improvement over this year’s show that was awkwardly broken up by the weekend towards the latter half of the week. The show continues to cater to both industry and consumer bases for its attendance with the first four days given over to press and B2B while the last three days are open to the public. In combination with their In The City program (as well as other watch shows taking place in Geneva at the same time) April has become the must visit month for watch lovers of all stripes.

New Brands at Watches & Wonders 2027

Universal Genève Tribute to Compax

Alongside the new dates, four exhibiting brands have been announced, all of which will be attending the show for the first time. The first three are Breitling, Gallet and Universal Genève, which are all tied together under the banner of the new House of Brands group – the official name for the family of watch brands operated/revived by Breitling CEO Georges Kern. Gallet is yet to make its official re-debut, which is expected before the end of the year.

The fourth brand announced is Damiani, an Italian brand known predominantly for their jewellery. However, as of January 2026, the Damiani Group purchased the watch brand Baume et Mercier from the Richemont group and Baume et Mercier have been long time attendees of Watches & Wonders. It is as yet unclear whether Damiani’s participation in Watches & Wonders is through that capacity of representing Baume et Mercier or whether they plan to use the in-house watchmaking of Baume et Mercier to release watches under their own brand.

Return of Basel

Basilia Fair

As an extra aside, the competition to Watches & Wonders is also growing as the management group behind Baselworld (which was discontinued in 2019) make their return to the watch events space. Their new event is called Basilia Jewellery and Watch Fair, which not only expands its remit to jewellery but also has a special focus on Asian brands. As it’s in its first year, it remains to be seen if it will reach the heights of Baselworlds of years past or modern Watches & Wonders.
