No matter what colour is supposedly ‘the new black’, it just isn’t. Black is always the new black. It always has been and it always will be, and for very good reason. The anti-colour is pure timeless elegance – and Bentley evidently agree.
For the new “Black Edition” Flying Spur V8 S Bentley’s in house customisation team have decided to go #allblackeverything by adding dark accents all over the new car, which includes a bespoke radiator and window surrounds, black mirrors, black door handles and tinted headlights.
Inside you’ll find colour-matched leather seats and wooden veneers. To break it up, Bentley has added bright red racing stripes to the seats as well as matching stitching for the panels and dashboard. The interior colours can also be changed to match customers tastes if you wanted something a little less sombre.
If you’re more into performance over style, it’s good to note that everything we’ve mentioned is purely aesthetic, with the official times confirmed by Bentley to be the same as the Bentley Flying Spur V8 S (0-60mph in 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 190mph). You won’t get there any faster (and it’s not like you really need to anyway) but at least you’ll look the part when you arrive. Black after all goes with everything.
Price and official release date have yet to be revealed but we’ll keep you updated; www.bentley.com
