The start of the Winter Olympics is just over two weeks away and to celebrate the impending occasion, Omega have launched the Seamaster Diver 300M Milano Cortina 2026. It comes on the heels of the Speedmaster Milano Cortina that was released 100 days before the Winter Olympics and the Seamaster 37mm, which was announced exactly one year ahead of the opening ceremony. Omega is certainly putting in the work as the Olympics’ official timing partner since 1932.
Kicking things off, the Seamaster Diver 300M Milano Cortina 2026 is the most wintery of the three watches. It has a large 43.5mm case in a combination of white ceramic and titanium that gives it a cold appearance, like snow that has settled on a piece of industrial architecture. 43.5mm is also a somewhat unusual size that Omega only use on their ceramic models, making for a very large, imposing stature, though it is at least smaller than the 44mm chronograph models.

Building on the snow and ice vibe of the watch, the dial features a frosted texture produced in ceramic with laser ablating. It also has a smooth zigzag pattern running across it that’s designed to look as if someone has run their finger over the dial, disturbing the frost – like a child drawing shapes on the inside of frosted car windows. It’s inspired by the Milano Cortina 2026 logo, which uses the same concept of finger tracing to spell out the ‘26’ – as seen on the medallion caseback.
The display is completed by the usual accompaniment of applied indexes with plenty of lume to ensure the legibility of the watch in low light conditions. The lollipop seconds hand is also blue lacquer, which helps with readability while also tying in to the event’s logo. I suppose for a Winter Olympic themed Seamaster, the dark conditions it would find use in is if you get trapped under the snow of an avalanche instead of making use of its 300m water resistance.

Powering the watch is the Master Chronometer, Co-Axial calibre 8806, an automatic movement with 55-hour power reserve. It’s finished immaculately with Geneva waves, though you can’t see it through the solid titanium caseback. As I briefly mentioned, the caseback features a medallion style decoration depicting the Milano Cortina 2026 logo.

As for pricing, the Seamaster Diver 300M Milano Cortina 2026 is £8,800. That puts it between the standard ceramic Seamaster at £8,400 and the Black Black at £8,900 (you can see the impact of five years of price rises as it was £7,410 on launch in 2021). Keep your eyes on the Olympic coverage to spot anyone wearing one.
