Micromilspec have been around for longer than you might expect, while their journey in the civilian sphere only began a couple years ago, before that they started life developing wristwatches for the military. Their first military prototype watch was the Field Testing Unit (FTU), which is today fused into the Milgraph collection via the launch of the Milgraph T5.
Effectively this is a field watch/chronograph hybrid designed to mix the practicality of the Milgraph with a sleeker, monochrome design inspired by the FTU. Structurally, it’s identical to previous editions of the Milgraph with a 42mm Grade 5 titanium case with destro crown (meaning it’s on the left at 9 o’clock instead of 3). It provides a great mix of comfort and utility.

Where the T5 diverges from the standard Milgraph is the dial. It has a sunray brushed finish that matches the finishing of the case, creating a visual unity and it’s the same colour as well, creating a monochrome unity. Though there is a point of coloured accenting with the red-tipped GMT hand for tracking a second time zone. The chronograph functionality is supported by sub-dials clearly labelled for hours, minutes, and seconds, ensuring precise timekeeping.
The Milgraph T5 offers water resistance up to 200m (20 bar), giving it solid underwater capabilities without being a dedicated dive watch. Ideal for a military environment where you might get caught in a sudden torrential downpour one minute, then lying in a bog for hours on end, or fording a river at a moment’s notice. The QuadGrip bezel also assists with its 60-minute scale and four deep indents, allowing for easy operation even while wearing gloves.

Powering the Micromilspec T5 is the La Joux-Perret L121 automatic movement with 60-hour power reserve. The inclusion of GMT and chronograph functions is great for versatility, which leans into the T5’s identity as a practical tool for any situation. Something further emphasised by the fact it’s available with either a titanium bracelet or a rubber strap, providing options for different preferences and occasions. The titanium bracelet matches the case’s satin finish, while the rubber strap offers a more casual look.

The Micromilspec Milgraph T5 is produced in a limited annual run of 35 pieces, priced from £2,950. The addition of the sunray brushed dial and monochrome design inspired by the FTU adds some extra character to the model.
