H. Moser & Cie’s collaboration with Formula 1 team Alpine is taking another step forwards. Rather than the Streamliner Alpine Driver and Mechanics editions in both blue and pink, the new Streamliner Tourbillon Skeleton Ceramic Alpine Limited Edition stands on its own.
Moser & Cie as a brand are always insistent on making a splash, usually with tongue firmly in haute horology cheek. That’s precisely what the digital half of the initial Alpine launch was. And while it was paired with a more expected, skeletonised and team liveried model, this time the focus is entirely on that mechanical watch.
First, the new Alpine Streamliner Tourbillon’s 40mm case is made of grey ceramic. This was inevitable as soon as Moser released their first ceramic streamliner at the beginning of 2026 and it’s just as perfect here. The smooth tactility of ceramic emphasises that pebble-shaped case more than metal ever could and means that even an errant wrench isn’t going to leave a dent. It makes this an oddly practical high complication, especially with its 120m water resistance.
Unfortunately, it is lacking the ceramic bracelet from the earlier model which is an absolute highlight of the Streamliner in general and the Concept Ceramic Red in specific. Instead, it’s replaced with an Alpine blue Alcantara strap which at least fits the automotive theme and helps pick out the blue on the, for lack of a better word, dial.
I hesitate to say dial because the Streamliner Tourbillon Skeleton earns that last word. The Globolight indexes are floating around the edge over Alpine blue bridges machined to almost nonexistence. Those bridges frame the 60-second flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock, though it’s easy to get lost in the mechanics of the HMC 814 calibre and its 72-hour power reserve.
The Streamliner Tourbillon Skeleton Ceramic Alpine Limited Edition is a superb encapsulation of Moser’s highest-end watchmaking, emphasising flowing shapes and intense mechanics. It also doesn’t feel like a team watch; the blue is Alpine’s sure, but it’s also a classic colour in watchmaking. This means that, priced at £82,600 and limited to 100 pieces, it’s a watch that appeals as much to serious collectors as F1 fans.
