The Jump Hour watch trend has now spanned a full 12 months after it picked up steam during Geneva Watch Week last year with the Cartier Tank à Guichets leading the way. In the British watchmaking scene, the Jump Hour has been trendy for much longer, with the Fears x Christopher Ward Alliance 01 in 2023. Since then Fears and CW have both launched independent jump hour watches and for Time to Watch 2026 Fears are releasing their latest version: the Fears Brunswick 40.5 Jump Hour ‘China Blue’.

The reason I mentioned the Fears x Christopher Ward collaboration is because I cannot believe that it is a coincidence that both Fears and CW independently decided to launch new versions of their jump hour watches in almost the exact same colourway within 6 months of each other. In November 2025 CW unveiled the C1 Jump Hour Mk V in Noon Blue, which had a pale blue centre disc and white surrounding, and now the Brunswick 40.5 Jump Hour ‘China Blue’ is practically identical.

Well, there are at least a few differences. China blue is a slightly darker shade than noon blue and where CW have a textured centre disc and smooth periphery, Fears invert that to have a smooth centre and guilloché style outer ring. There’s then the more obvious difference that the CW is round while the Brunswick has a 40.5mm cushion case.
On the wrist, the Brunswick is very comfortable with its five-link steel bracelet featuring alternating brushed and polished links. It’s fastened with a butterfly clasp that has a custom ‘Bristol Flower’ decoration on the inside of its links, which is a lovely piece of attention to detail. That motif is also found on the rotor of the Sellita SW200 calibre with JJ01 jump hour module.

Ultimately this boils down to an alternative colour scheme for the existing Brunswick 40.5 Jump Hour, but the lighter tone suits the model very well in comparison to the darker burgundy tones we’ve seen before. It gives the watch a more elegant, dressy appeal. It’s priced at £4,250 on strap or £4,450 on bracelet.
