Citizen has launched a new interpretation of the Attesa Moonphase inspired by the coming winter. This is their second Attesa Moonphase limited edition this year as they released the Shades of Red edition in February to coincide with the total lunar eclipse. The new watch is called the Attesa Ever Since and it features a redesigned display that introduces a dressier, more classical style compared to the Shades of Red.
Structurally and mechanically, the new watch is identical to the February edition. It measures the same 41.5mm diameter and 10.8mm thickness in Citizen’s super titanium alloy. The Ever Since’s case is much brighter though because it uses a platinum-coloured Duratect coating instead of a black Duratect DLC coating. Along the righthand side of the case are the two chronograph pushers that flank the crown with its raised crown guards. Inside is the radio-controlled calibre H874.
The most important detail is the updated dial. It features a new winter scene motif, which has been created through a vertical gradient of light to dark blue. The transition of the gradient is intentionally uneven to create the illusions of looking a mountain range disappearing into the clouds of a snowstorm in the distance. The snow itself is represented by flecks of white across the whole dial. The moonphase at 6 o’clock is pale blue to conjure the image of a fresh winter night.

In addition to the winter scene, the dial has a new set of hour markers that are a combination of Roman numerals and facetted arrow heads. It’s this change that alters the personality of the watch the most, even more than the finishing of the dial itself. Their delicate, classy design is a 180° design change from the sporty, brutalist baton markers of the Shades of Red. On top of that, the number of layers on the dial of the Attesa Ever Since has been reduced, which also makes it feel dressier.
The watch is priced at £995 in a limited edition of 2,300 pieces globally. It will be available from November 2026. This is the first winter-themed watch launch I’ve seen so far this year and it captures the vibe of a snow-filled night really well. Though given the late summer we’ve had in the UK, I keep having to remind myself that we are in mid-October and not August still.
