In an unprecedented move, MB&F are holding a raffle for 20 limited edition watches in celebration of their 20th anniversary. Giving away so many watches for free is practically unheard of in the industry, especially from a brand as prestigious as MB&F. The watches being gifted are the LM101 Longhorn 20th Anniversary and M.A.D.1S 20th Anniversary.
Before you get your hopes up too far, the pool of people who are eligible to win the watches is fairly limited. In order to win one of the 10 LM101 Longhorn 20th Anniversary watches, you must be a member of the MB&F Tribe, which consists of friends and family of the brand as well as people who have previously bought an MB&F. The M.A.D.1S 20th Anniversary does have a wider range of eligibility as everyone who has entered one of the previous M.A.D raffles for the chance to buy one of the watches has the opportunity to win, whether they were successful previously or not. While giveaways like this are not common, it is enough to make you think that going for that watch you were half tempted by before could be a boon in future.

Getting into the details of the special edition watches, the LM101 Longhorn 20th Anniversary is actually the second reinterpretation of 2014’s LM101 we’ve seen this year – joining the LM101 Evo. As its name suggests, it takes the classic design of the LM101 and introduces Longhorn lugs, which is a style known for being particularly long and curved. It then has a bright rhodium sunray brushed dial – the signature colourway MB&F have used on all of its Longhorn models.
The M.A.D.1S 20th Anniversary takes its cues from the Longhorn model with a similar colour scheme. Though the biggest anniversary feature is the addition of Roman numeral hour markers for the first time in any M.A.D Edition. While changes to lugs and numerals aren’t exactly world changing alterations, it’s impossible to complain or ask for more when the watches are complimentary. Each version is limited to 10 pieces.
In order to ensure fairness in the raffle, the draw will be overseen by a bailiff and takes place in October.
