William Wood Time for Heroes Watch Auction Raises Money for Fallen 9/11 Responders

It’s hard to believe that the shocking events of 9/11 happened 20 years ago. In commemoration of the event, William Wood has partnered with the Tunnel to Towers Foundation to launch a special charity auction with 100% of the profits going to the foundation and their Fallen First Responder Home Program, which supports those left behind by the responders who lost their lives across the United States that day.

The auction will consist of a 1-of-1 special edition William Wood watch with bids open from 6th – 13th September. The watch itself is a variation on the relatively new Triumph Chronograph, specifically the Heat edition that has a red case and bezel. Where the auction edition deviates from the regular version is the caseback, because in addition to the signature fire alarm decoration, it bears a depiction of New York’s skyline including the World Trade Centre. It also has the limited edition engraving “09/11 20 Years”.

Tunnel to Towers is just one of William Wood’s charity initiatives, others include The Fire Fighter’s Charity in the UK and Bush Fire Relief in Australia, in addition to many more. It shows that they are genuinely concerned about the issues surrounding firefighting and that it’s more than a niche gimmick for their watches.
