India’s Biggest Watch Brand Titan Edge UltraSlim Mechanical 5.7mm Competes at GPHG 2026

Titan Edge UltraSlim Mechanical

Titan is the largest watch brand in India and control a large portion of the domestic market, but they also aim to impress on the world stage. To that end, they have submitted the new Edge UltraSlim Mechanical as a competitor to the GPHG watch awards 2026. It’s a lightweight Grade 2 titanium watch with a dual disk display that measures just 5.7mm thick, housing a 2.2mm thick manual winding movement.

Starting with the titanium case, its full dimensions are 40mm diameter, 5.7mm thickness and as it uses hidden lugs integrated with the edge of the case, it’s also a 40mm lug-to-lug. The Edge series is predominantly a quartz collection, so whenever Titan produce a mechanical version (which they have done a handful of times over the years) their goal is to preserve the slim proportions that quartz watches can achieve. They’ve certainly been successful in that here.

Titan Edge UltraSlim Mechanical

The primary innovation that allows the watch to be so slim is the implementation of a dual disk time display. Instead of using conventional hands where the central handstack sits above the dial, two disks that sit flush with the dial itself function as the hour and minute hands. It reduces the overall verticality of the display, allowing the watch to be thinner. It also adds a cool, minimalist vibe to the watch with the appearance of the serenely floating disks.

In order to achieve this display, the inner mechanics of the movement had to be altered, requiring the drive path, lateral energy transmission and gear layout to be re-engineered. The calibre at the heart of this is the Edge 903, which has a 42-hour power reserve and +/-12 seconds per day accuracy. It’s visible through the exhibition caseback where you can see its openworked architecture that was specifically designed with both practicality and aesthetic refinement in mind.

For pricing and availability, the Titan Edge UltraSlim is CHF 3,000 (approx. £2,750) in a limited edition of just 50 pieces. It’s competing in the Essential category of the GPHG, where it is up against some stiff competition from the likes of Parmigiani, MB&F, Konstantin Chaykin, IWC and Audemars Piguet. It’s a true battle between the giant of India and the established greats of watchmaking.
