Seiko Introduce Presage Cocktail Time ‘Corcovado’ and ‘Daiquiri’ GMT Watches

Seiko Presage Cocktail Time Corcovado GMT

Within the Seiko Cocktail Time collection, it seems 2026 is the year of the GMT because following up the ‘Silver Bullet’ released in the spring we have two new editions for the autumn. They’re the Presage ‘Corcovado’ and ‘Daiquiri’ Cocktail Time GMT watches, with one in blue and a rose gold coloured case, and the other in white with yellow gold. We had the opportunity to get hands on with the ‘Corcovado’ edition to learn more.

Seiko Presage Cocktail Time Corcovado GMT

Like all watches in the Cocktail Time range, the choice of dial colour is inspired by a real life cocktail (which also gives the model its name). I must admit that I was unfamiliar with the Corcovado cocktail before the launch of this watch but it’s described as a tequila and blue curaçao on the traditional margarita with an aquamarine colour. I wouldn’t describe the watch we have here as aquamarine but it certainly is blue. A rich, deep blue paired with a sunray texture finish. The intensity of the colour works well in conjunction with the warm rose gold coloured coating of the steel case and wedge-shaped hour markers.

The case itself measures 40.5mm in diameter with a thickness of 12.8mm, which would be considered large for a dress watch but perfectly within expectations for a travel watch. As this is a GMT display with 24-hour scale depicting a second time zone, this is fundamentally a travel watch. Though when it comes to travelling, the Presage is definitely more about drinks in the airport lounge rather than putting on your hiking boots and setting off to explore the world on foot. A sentiment backed by the 50m water resistance rating.

Seiko Presage Cocktail Time Daiquiri GMT

Second of the new watches is the ‘Daiquiri’ Cocktail Time GMT, which has a white dial inspired by the use of white rum in the traditional drink. With its clean, white dial and yellow gold coloured steel case, it’s one of the most classical dress watch designs in the Cocktail Time range. There is also a difference between the ‘Corcovado’ and ‘Daiquiri’ beyond the colours and that’s the fact the ‘Corcovado’ is available on a leather strap while the ‘Daiquiri’ is on a metal bracelet.

Inside, both watches house the 4R34 automatic GMT movement. It has a 41-hour power reserve which is the norm by today’s standards for an accessible automatic movement. It’s visible through the exhibition caseback where you can see its oscillating balance wheel and spinning rotor.

The Seiko Presage Cocktail Time ‘Corcovado’ and ‘Daiquiri’ GMT are available from September 9th and are priced at £570 for the ‘Corcovado’ and £560 for the ‘Daiquiri’. That makes them slightly more expensive than the ‘Silver Bullet’ edition from earlier in the year, likely due to the addition of Seiko’s gold coloured coating to the cases.
