Aviation has been a constant source of inspiration for watch design, from vintage cockpit instruments to the clean, high contrast layouts pilots rely on for quick reads. Raketa’s latest release, the Raketa Su, continues that tradition with a theme rooted in modern aviation styling, including a reference to the Su-57.
Editor’s note: Given the current climate, we’re approaching this release purely through a design lens.

That design brief is translated in a fairly straightforward way. The Raketa Su uses a 42mm x 13.65mm steel case with a black PVD coating, paired with a matte black dial. Above 6 o’clock, there’s a glossy silhouette motif that leans into the concept, while the rest of the dial keeps things practical. Oversized hour markers alternate between Arabic numerals and bar indexes, and everything is treated with Super-LumiNova for low light readability.
Although the styling is pilot watch first, the spec leans toward all round tool watch. A screw-down crown helps deliver 200m water resistance, which gives it genuine everyday durability, even if the case has the added presence you would expect at this size.

Inside is Raketa’s manufacture calibre 2615 automatic, offering a 40-hour power reserve and a stated accuracy of -10/+20 seconds per day. It’s visible through the exhibition caseback, where the rotor is customised with a pattern that mirrors the wider design language used across the set.

As a package, Raketa leans hard into the theme. Alongside the watch, the limited edition set includes a scale model replica and a presentation case with dual locks and safety ribbons, framing the unboxing as part of the overall experience. The watch is supplied on a silicone strap and also comes with a leather alternative.
The Raketa Su is limited to 800 pieces and priced at €3,200 excluding VAT, or around £2,780. That pricing reflects not only the watch itself, but also the special packaging and extras included in the set.
