Mezei Watch Company Arctic Blue, £395

Mezei Arctic Blue

Mezei Watch Company was founded by Sandor Mezei, a man with a decade on the front lines of watch sales, experiencing what collectors and customers are truly looking for in a watch. Their debut collection consists of the London Smoke, Arctic Blue and Racing Green, each dedicated to an aspect of British ingenuity or architecture. Each features an attractive guilloché style display in grey, blue or green respectively, with casebacks engraved with London landmarks, ships or race cars.

Kiwame Tokyo Iwao, $690 (approx. £515)

Kiwame Tokyo IWAO Series

Kiwame Tokyo was founded in the summer of 2025 by industry veteran Masami Watanabi. After their first sell out debut series, they’re back with a second, which takes the case and movement of the debut collection and presents it with a brand new dial. The new pair is called the Kiwame Tokyo Iwao series, with the two versions being the Ginkai and Sumi. It now has a sector dial with a central grainy disc and smooth outer ring for the hour scale. Powering both versions of the Kiwame Tokyo Iwao is the Miyota 9039 automatic, a staple third party movement from Japan with 42-hour power reserve.

Available at Kiwame Tokyo.

CIGA design Time Cipher

Ciga Design Time Cipher

CIGA design are always trying to push the boat out when it comes to interesting ways of presenting the time. Their Blue Planet series reimagines a monohand display while their latest creation, the Time Cipher, takes a crack at the wandering hours. It features a single large minute hand that rotates once per hour while mounted on top of it is a 12-hour wheel, indicating which hour of the day the minute hand is currently tracking. What’s extra impressive is achieving this with a modified Miyota movement.

Available at CIGA design.

Kompas East, £535

Kompas East

Kompas are inspired by a lesser-known piece of British military horology – at least in comparison to the Dirty Dozen. The Sector Clock was a style of display used by the RAF to track enemy planes in conjunction with radar technology, where colourful triangles help split the dial into five-minute colour-coded sections that allowed for easy communication and lessen confusion. Here that’s replicated on the display of their quartet of watches, though each of them focuses on shades of a single colour and is dedicated to the cardinal points. This green edition is the East.

Available at Kompas Watches.

Santura x Bauche Nebula, €463 (approx. £400)

Santura x Bauche Nebula

A collaboration between Indonesian and Singaporean brands Santura and Bauche, the Nebula series features a cosmic dial made from a layering of different materials. For the purple edition there’s amethyst with purple fumé mother-of-pearl and black aventurine. While for the green is amazonite, green mother-of-pearl and blue aventurine. Both look spectacular with the fun addition of rocket shaped hour markers at nine and ten. It’s powered by the Miyota 9039 automatic, protected by the 38mm case with 100m water resistance.

Available at Santura Watches.
