Kudoke Introduces the 1 and 2 Tremblage

Kudoke 1 and 2 Tremblage

German manufacture Kudoke introduces tremblage dial options for the Kudoke 1 and 2 Tremblage models. The hand-engraved surface treatment represents one of haute horlogerie’s most demanding techniques. Additionally, these new executions debut at the Masters of Horology exhibition in Geneva from April 13-18, 2026.

Tremblage derives from the French word ‘trembler’, meaning to tremble or vibrate. The technique involves thousands of precise hand movements with a fine graver. As a result, the surface absorbs rather than reflects light, creating a soft, velvety appearance. Furthermore, Kudoke executes the entire process in-house, including the electroplating.

Kudoke 1 and 2 Tremblage

Both models feature identical 39mm stainless steel cases with different thicknesses. The Kudoke 1 measures 9.5mm thick, whilst the Kudoke 2 extends to 10.7mm. Water resistance reaches 50m across both models. In addition, sapphire crystals protect both the dial and exhibition caseback.

The Kudoke 1 houses Kaliber 1, a manual-winding movement with 46-hour power reserve. Its small seconds display at 9 o’clock can feature either circular graining or integrated tremblage finish. Meanwhile, applied rhodium-plated elements contrast against the textured background. The movement operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour with 18 jewels.

For the Kudoke 2 Tremblage, the signature day/night display at 12 o’clock takes centre stage. The Kaliber 1-24h movement powers this additional complication alongside the standard time functions. Specifically, the tremblage surface enhances the sculptural celestial motif’s visual depth. On top of that, the engraved finish complements rather than competes with the day/night indication.

The tremblage dials come in three galvanic finishes: yellow gold, black rhodium, and white rhodium. Each piece remains unique due to the hand-engraving process with no two surfaces exactly identical. Both models accept leather or Alcantara straps with stainless steel buckles.

The tremblage option adds €3,750 (approx. £3,270) to either model’s base price. This brings the Kudoke 1 and 2 Tremblage to €12,391 and €14,451 (approx. £10,800 / £12,600) respectively, excluding VAT. The special dial treatment is available now as an option for both existing models.
