You may be familiar with the blue, black and grey versions of Longines‘ no-nonsense, fuss-free divers range. Now they are adding a new colour to this kaleidoscope of underwater watches with two takes on green.
The first, which will sit in their main collection, is being called a khaki green which a matte finish on the dial and a tough ceramic bezel to round it off. This one is going to be available in either a 41mm or a 43mm stainless steel case and will come with a matching metal bracelet and a green rubber strap that you can quickly switch between without tools thanks to the easy change system which appears to unlock the strap at the press of a button.
The second dial variation which is being sold as a brighter green has a vertical brushed finish to it and will be a boutique exclusive only available in a 41mm case size. This added texture to the dial gives some real depth to a watch that could be seen as just another dive watch. It will also be available with the two interchangeable strap options.
It of course comes with all the features you would expect from a modern diver, with 300m water resistance, scratch-proof sapphire crystal and Longines’ impressive L888 automatic calibre that packs 64 hours of power reserve. If that wasn’t enough evidence that this watch wasn’t messing around the crown guards on here give some serious protection and are almost begging to be bashed about and tested underwater.
