New Releases Watches

Introducing: Eone Apex Element for Veterans Day

Specialist watchmaker for the sight-impaired, Eone, has been working with military veteran and Paralympic gold medallist, Bradley Snyder, for some time now, long enough that the brand’s signature model shares his name.

But it’s more than just the watch they have in common; through the partnership, Eone has come to support the Navy Special Operations Foundation. For Veterans Day therefore, the brand has decided to take out all the stops with the newest addition to their innovative collection, the Apex Element limited edition.

In essence, the Apex is Eone’s take on a field watch. Of course, it’s still able to be read by the blind thanks to the unique ball-bearing minute and hour indicators, and thanks to the raised indexes around the dial. But rather than the articulated lugs on the Bradley, the new watch uses solid, fixed ones.

Not only are they more solid than your usual spring bar assembly, they elevate the watch off the wrist slightly, making it easier to read. It also adds a bit of utilitarianism to the overall silhouette of the watch, hammered home by the cool, dial-matched canvas straps.

Speaking of the dials, they are available in either militaristic khaki or a navy colour, both in tactile, scratch and environmentally-resistant ceramic. Sure, you won’t find a field watch with a ceramic dial anywhere else, but it’s a nice flash of the cutting-edge.

As this is a charity-focused limited edition, for each watch sold, Eone will donate $30 to the NSOF to support their various programs, like Warrior Care, Transition Service and Community Presence. So not only are you getting a cool watch with a unique style and story behind it, you’d getting it for a good cause.

Better yet, anyone purchasing the pieces before November 18th can use the discount code “doublepayback” to receive a $30 USD discount off these timepieces.

The only hard choice is which colour. Our money’s on the khaki.
