Hublot Classic Fusion Yohji Yamamoto All Black Camo Pushes Stealth Design to the Next Level

Hublot Classic Fusion Yohji Yamamoto All Black Camo

When it comes to street fashion, Japanese designers have long been at the forefront with a sense of effortless cool and an understanding of the essentials. In the 1980s Yohji Yamamoto debuted his disruptive collections in Paris that focussed on dramatic silhouettes and the colour black, at odds with the prevailing popularity of bright colours. Following the launch of the Hublot All Black in the 2000s, a collaborative partnership between the maison and Japanese fashion brand was a natural step and now in 2026 they are unveiling their fourth wristwatch together: the Hublot Classic Fusion Yohji Yamamoto All Black Camo.

As we recently discussed in our guide to camouflage watches the use of camo in street style is well established. The dramatic shapes, dynamic use of colour and tactical, military connection are as at home in the concrete jungle as the tropical. It’s unsurprising then that one of the previous collaborations between Hublot and Yohji Yamamoto put camouflage front and centre, which we featured in our streetwear photoshoot in 2021. But that leads to the question of how can you do camouflage again while making it feel fresh and new?

Hublot Classic Fusion Yohji Yamamoto All Black Camo

Well, that thing I just mentioned about dynamic colour – the way camouflage shifts between different shades, breaks up outlines, makes use of unusual highlights and unexpected tones – scrap that. As the name suggests for the new Classic Fusion Yohji Yamamoto, they’re presenting their camo in all black. The dial features a textured camouflage pattern designed by Yamamoto but in full monochrome black. It has an almost rebellious character to it in the redundancy of it all – the watch is difficult to read because everything is black so the camo must be working but the colour, rather than the pattern, has more to do with the effect. It’s the concept of a stealth watch pushed to the next level where pattern and texture become part of the stealth story.

Completing the All Black Camo’s design, the 42mm x 10.4mm case is made from matte black ceramic and presented on a matching fabric and rubber strap. It houses the HUB1110 automatic movement with 48-hour power reserve, featuring hours, minutes, seconds and date. This watch showcases both Hublot and Yohji Yamamoto in their element and while I’m not normally one to go for the full black, stealth aesthetic, I do think this watch is cool in that very urban Japanese kind of way – and priced at £9,900 in a limited edition of 300 pieces it feels very Hublot.
