Farer Introduce 2026 World Timer Collection in Burgundy and Gold

Farer World Timer

The Farer World Timer has been a staple of their collections since it was first introduced in 2019, a practical travel companion capable of displaying the time in all 24 of the world’s time zones simultaneously. For 2026 the World Timer range is being expanded with a new burgundy dial edition called Thorne available in steel or, for the first time in the collection’s history, gold PVD. That PVD case is also making its way over to one of the most popular models, the green Foxe.

Starting with the case, it’s the same 39mm diameter x 11mm thickness design we’re familiar with. Featuring a smooth bezel, gently curving lugs with bevelled edges and a dual crown system – one for setting the time and winding the watch as normal, and the other for adjusting the internal rotating bezel equipped with cities scale. There’s a standard steel version of the new Thorne and as noted, gold PVD editions of both the Thorne and Foxe, offering a more luxurious interpretation of the design while also boosting scratch resistance due to the titanium nitride coating used in the PVD process.

Looking to the dial, there’s a lot going on, with a central globe motif, 24-hour ring, guilloché style hour ring with date window and then the peripheral cities bezel. Thankfully the use of lumicast markers and a clean, clear typeface keeps everything neat and readable. In its new burgundy tone, the Thorne has a sumptuous quality to it. Although, looking at the dark colour of that central globe, the Classical nerd in me can’t stop thinking of the translation of Homer’s Odyssey in which the Mediterranean is described as a wine-dark sea. The Foxe Gold uses the same layout but in green.

Powering each of the Farer 2026 World Timer watches is the Sellita SW331-2 elaboré movement with custom Farer rotor and 56-hour power reserve. It’s visible through the watch’s exhibition caseback. For pricing, the standard steel Throne is £1,525 while the Thorne Gold and Foxe Gold are £1,575, so just an extra £50. The atlas style of worldtimer isn’t for everyone but sales don’t lie and this is one of Farer’s most popular collections.
