Doxa Launch SUB 300 Carbon Seafoam Green with Watches of Switzerland

DOXA SUB 300 Carbon Seafoam

Colourful divers are a beach-ready summer staple if ever there was one, but when you put those two words together – colour and diver – there’s one brand that comes to mind quicker than a bends-risking ascent: Doxa. Strangely though, Doxa hasn’t embraced the minty green hue that’s defined the horological world this summer. That is until now and the Doxa SUB 300 Carbon Seafoam Limited Edition in collaboration with Watches of Switzerland – though they have somewhat missed the summer.

Watches of Switzerland need no introducing. The monolithic retail group probably have a brand on your local high street. They’re a big enough force that it goes without saying they can spot a watch trend, so it’s perhaps not too big a surprise they’ve taken the leap with Doxa on this one.

DOXA SUB 300 Carbon Seafoam

The base watch here is the Sub 300 Carbon, a lightweight, black cased version of Doxa’s classic, archetypal diver. It’s edgier in an overt performance way but shape-wise is the proper, professional underwater instrument it’s always been.  That means a (these days relatively chunky) 42.5mm diameter with 300m water resistance and a unidirectional carbon bezel with lashings of lume. All good, practical stuff.

Inside is a Swiss-made automatic with a 38-hour power reserve which, reading between the lines, means a Sellita SW200-1. There’s nothing wrong with that, it’s a workhorse movement, but 38-hours is really starting to feel lacklustre these days. Either way though, the dial here is the main event.

DOXA SUB 300 Carbon Seafoam

The dial here is technically called seafoam green but is only one pantone digit away from the more common mint. The soft pastel is in a sunray finish, which I’m not sure works as well as a matte version, but it’s still a nice point of difference from Doxa’s usual line-up. Regardless, it pops against the black of the case, really tapping into that summer ready (presumably for 2026) vibe.

DOXA SUB 300 Carbon Seafoam

Available on either a case-matching black strap or a dial-matching seafoam green strap both in rugged FKM rubber, the limited edition will set you back £3,890. More importantly, there are only 100 of the Doxa Sub 300 Carbon Seafoam Limited Edition being produced, which is less than 1 per Watches of Switzerland store. Even if it wasn’t a particularly good-looking Doxa (who already make good-looking divers) all 100 would go fast. As it is… I hope you remembered your local store manager’s birthday this year.
