I like puns. Who doesn’t? But while you might expect to see a pun in the name of a watch from a brand like H. Moser or Studio Underd0g who are renowned for not taking themselves too seriously, it’s even more delightful to see it from a serious maison like Jaeger-LeCoultre. Enter the Reverso Tribute Monoface ‘Or Deco’. It’s a play on the artistic Art Deco movement where the word art has been replaced by the French world for gold, which tells you pretty much everything you need to know about this collection – it’s their new gold range of Art Deco reversos.
The ‘Or Deco’ technically made its debut as a standalone piece last year so the five new references build on that foundation to expand the range into a fully fledged Reverso sub-collection. The five references are split across two sizes: the standard 45.6mm length x 27.4mm width x 7.56 mm thickness for four of the refs and then a new smaller size for the fifth piece at 40.1mm x 24.4mm x 7.56 mm.

Breaking it down further, three of the standard size models feature gem-set gadroons in either ruby, sapphire or emerald. Together they are known as the Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds ‘Or Deco Cocktail’ series, inspired by the gem-set cocktail watches of the 1920s and 30s, which is when the Reverso gained its popularity. As for the gold element, the ruby edition is pink gold while the sapphire and emerald are white gold.
The fourth standard size model, the Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds ‘Or Deco’, is then also white gold but with standard gadroons instead of gems. Completing the set, the small edition is called the Reverso Tribute Monoface ‘Or Deco Solo Tempo’, which is presented in pink gold. It’s also the only model without a small seconds display but the matte-grained display with polished hour markers, dauphine hands and railway minute track is otherwise the same as the larger references.

Another visual feature that all five ‘Or Deco’ models share is the Milanese bracelet, which was a highlight of the 2025 edition. It makes for an extremely classy looking piece and in gold it’s stunning. It uses an integrated sliding clasp to keep it firmly on your wrist.
Powering the collection is the calibre 822, a manual movement with 42-hour power reserve. It’s the same calibre in all five watches despite the fact that the Solo Tempo edition doesn’t have a small seconds subdial. As this is a Monoface collection, the movement sits inside the rotatable case with the dial on one side and a solid metal face on the other.

For pricing and availability, the three Cocktail references are each limited to 30 pieces and are price on request. The Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds ‘Or Deco’ is limited to 200 pieces at £46,800 and then the Tempo Solo is non-limited at £38,300.
