Beaucroft has announced the Contour GMT Tropical Teal, marking the brand’s entry into complications watches. This GMT timepiece represents a new chapter for Beaucroft, introducing a travel-focused watch for modern global travellers. The Contour GMT takes design inspiration from aerial views of Earth at 37,000 feet, with each edition drawing from landscapes visible during flight paths.
The launch edition has a tropical teal colourway that captures the moment when the Caribbean Sea comes into view during flight. The dial features a gradient teal finish with shifting depths and a shimmering sun-ray pattern. Beaucroft incorporates a new ‘Floating Earth’ dial design, where a raised chapter ring and controlled box crystal distortion create the illusion of a curved dial suspended in space. Inspired by the view of Earth from high altitude where you can see the curve of the planet.
The case measures 39.5mm in diameter and draws design elements from across Beaucroft’s existing collection. Specifically, the watch combines the flowing hand profiles of the Seeker model with the sporting character of the Element line. The aerodynamic hands sweep across the dial, whilst a deliberately understated GMT hand tracks home time with contrasting Super-LumiNova on its tip.
Powering the Contour GMT Tropical Teal is the Miyota calibre 9075, a Japanese automatic movement. The movement operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and provides a 42-hour power reserve, it has also been regulated in-house to achieve an improved +/- 10 seconds per day accuracy. Functions include hours, minutes, seconds, and GMT indication. The watch offers 100m of water resistance, suitable for swimming and snorkelling, great for those Caribbean waters.
The bracelet features a 20mm to 16mm taper with fully articulated screw links. Additionally, the bracelet includes quick-release push pins for easy strap changes. The manufacturer applies a scratch-resistant coating rated at 1200-1300 HV for enhanced durability.
The Beaucroft Contour GMT Tropical Teal is priced at £795 or $899 USD, with prices listed as delivered duty paid. Pre-orders require a 50% deposit, with final payment taken on 1st July 2026. Delivery is scheduled for September 2026, making this a pre-order release with several months lead time.
