A hand-turned guilloché dial, Grade 5 titanium case with integrated bracelet and a regulator-style GMT layout unlike anything else on the market – this is the Chronoswiss PULSE GMT Silver Guilloché. It’s a fusion of modern and heritage design influences that keeps the watch feeling new and exciting while remaining clearly a Chronoswiss.
Chronoswiss has been independent since 1983, founded by a former Heuer watchmaker during the quartz crisis. They popularised the regulator wristwatch and have spent four decades building some of the most vibrant, hand-finished dials in independent watchmaking. The PULSE collection is a different mood. Launched last year as the brand’s first integrated bracelet, it trades that bold energy for something architecturally clean and refined. This GMT is the second model in the family.
Starting with the case, it measures 41mm in diameter with a thickness of 13mm, which gives it plenty of wrist presence in conjunction with the signature integrated bracelet that makes the PULSE stand out within Chronoswiss’ collections. It’s made from grade 5 titanium with a combination of sandblasted and satin-brushed finishing, which is a difficult finish to achieve on titanium.
The complication traces it heritage back to the Tora from 1994. The twin subdials of the display features 12-hour local time on the right and a 24-hour second time zone on the left. Central minutes and seconds tie the whole display together nicely. They’re presented against a hand-turned dial crafted in Chronoswiss’s own Lucerne atelier, on machines over 100 years old. No CNC here, each line individually cut into brass by hand. It’s an increasing rare technique synonymous with brands like Breguet and Patek Philippe, not many others.
Inside, the Calibre C.6002 developed with La Joux-Perret offers 55 hours of power reserve. 41mm, Grade 5 titanium, 100m water resistant, limited to 200 pieces at £17,700. Not cheap, but for a hand guilloché dial and an in-house GMT from an independent manufacture, it starts to make sense.
