Héron Introduce Mirabel GMT “Cigar Club” Edition with Full Lume Dial

Héron Mirabel GMT Cigar Club

Back in the summer of last year, Canadian watch brand Héron took a sharp left in terms of design brief when instead of a practical tool watch diver they released an Art Deco GMT. That GMT was called the Mirabel and to kick off 2026 they’ve released another version of it as part of their Special Editions series. Special Edition here meaning limited production without a cap on how many will eventually be made. The watch in question is the Mirabel GMT “Cigar Club” Edition.

Héron Mirabel GMT Cigar Club

As the name implies, it leans even more heavily into that early 20th century aesthetic and the smoky bars and club lounges where money flows, crooners sing and gangsters plot. The watch itself has very little to do with cigars and tobacco itself – nothing so crass as a tobacco leaf dial – instead being designed as the type of timepiece you might wear in that locale. Sleek, well dressed and classy.

It maintains the svelte 37.5mm case and 11.8mm thickness with oversize knurled crown. The lines of the piece remain sleek with a clean arc from lug to lug and a smooth bezel to cap it off. Where the “Cigar Club” Edition comes into its own is the dial. During the day it’s a soft salmon tone with a sector display and brown scales. At night, it lights up thanks to a full lume construction which means the entire display glows green. Thematically this is designed to represent the ignition of a cigar but it would also look cool through the smoke.

Below the updated dial of the watch is housed the Miyota 9075 GMT movement, a Japanese calibre with 42-hour power reserve. Importantly it’s what is known as a true GMT, as opposed to an office GMT. What that means is that instead of having to adjust the entirety of local time manually every time you swap time zone, you can jump just the hour hand in intervals of an hour. This makes it faster and easier to set the watch.

Completing the special edition Héron Mirabel GMT “Cigar Club” is a hand-crafted Baranil leather strap in, you guessed it, tobacco brown to match the details of the dial. It completes the aesthetic of the watch and makes it the perfect club companion. It’s priced at $690 (approx. £510), making it great value between the true GMT movement and full lume display.
