Bang & Olufsen have just launched the Beolab 50, a beautifully designed speaker with architectural precision. Made of oak and aluminium it can’t help but grab the attention even when silent. Packed with a massive 2,100 watts of power, the speakers have been kitted with seven drivers which each have their own 300-watt amplifier built in, meaning the entire speaker can power itself off a single power cable.

B&O’s Active Room Compensation technology also assists by using external microphones to scan the room’s surroundings. It then uses the gathered data to automatically reconfigure its audio settings to match the rooms acoustics for the best possible sound, regardless of the space.


The BeoLab 50’s Acoustic Lens technology, a ‘lens’ at the top of the speaker which disperses the sound via one of its two settings, narrow or wide, gives the owner even more customisation depending on what you’re doing. Entertaining guests? Turn it on to wide and let the party begin…
