The motoring inspired line-up of Autoromo might not be the first thing you think of when it comes to insanely bright, neon-hued watches but it looks like the Brooklyn-based brand is channelling Miami Vice if their new Group B Aqua is anything to go by.
Plenty of watches have gone by the name Aqua – with various degrees of blue, obviously. Or perhaps not so obviously here. A vibrant pistachio green makes up the mainstay of the dial with bright yellow indexes and hands, making an underlit street racer seem reserved.
That said, this is still a Group B, meaning an impeccably machined 39mm titanium case and integrated stainless steel and rubber bracelet for an uncompromising performance look. With its notched bezel there’s something of the Ingenieur about it – but IWC couldn’t get away with colours like this.
Equipped with a simple yet serviceable Miyota 9015 movement, the Group B Aqua is also incredibly well priced at $975 – round-about £730 – which is a damn sight less than the white Testarossa you’re all but required to pair it with.
Price: $975 USD, available at Autodromo.
