Headphones are pretty much the only way I can survive commuting. They help cancel out the general white noise of screeching tube trains and sickly businessmen, at least partially. Launching at CES 2018 this week, the latest release from Sennheiser however will do far more than that. Thanks to their noise isolating, closed-back design the HD 820 Headphones will have you in a sonic sanctuary all your own.
You might think they’ll still lack compared to their open counterparts; prepare to be proven very, very wrong. They may be billed as the ‘most transparent-sounding closed headphones in the world,’ but there are very few pairs of any design that can come close. Well, what would you expect for over £1,700.
