Earlier this month March LA.B announced the launch of the new AM2 Nyctalope Carbon “Millésimée March 2026” Edition, their annual anniversary celebration watch. It’s a fascinating piece made of forged carbon with luminous resin, so I simply had to get hands on with it to learn more.
Out of the box, it’s a very dark, stealthy interpretation of the Millésimée design. The matte black of the carbon case is a far cry from the shiny polish of the 2025 Edition. The green, luminous resin is also much more subtle in the design of the case when it’s not in bright light. Though when you do put it into direct light, it really comes alive with the intricate textures of the carbon and the resin looks like mineral veins marbled through a stone surface. That’s especially true under UV when even thin, almost imperceptible veins of resin shine vibrant green.
The story is similar when it comes to the dial of the March LA.B AM2 Nyctalope Carbon “Millésimée March 2026” Edition. Immediately it appears subtle with a dark display acting as a backdrop to the new Super-LumiNova block hour markers and central hands. But as soon as a ray of sunlight hits it, the colours start to pop with the dark green and black elements becoming more distinguishable and the jacquard pattern centre drawing in your focus. I also find it very satisfying the way the dial continues the pattern of the jacquard fabric strap that it’s presented on, creating a sense of continuity around the wrist.
That strap also makes it comfortable to wear in combination with the carbon case. Normally I worry about such light and flexible material as jacquard for a strap because the weight of a watch can make it feel loose, like it’s constantly twisting, but because carbon is very light as well that issue is completely circumvented. The 38mm x 44mm dimensions of the angular, irregular octagon case also keeps it well proportioned on the wrist with the 12.8mm thickness adding a good amount of height without being overwhelming.
The only downside to the strap is that because it has an underpass loop between the watch and your skin, you can’t actually see the exhibition caseback unless you take the strap off. If you do that, you’ll see the La Joux-Perret calibre G100 through the green tinted glass caseback. It’s an automatic movement with 68-hour power reserve, and one that’s well respected in independent and microbrand circles.
For price, the March LA.B AM2 Nyctalope Carbon “Millésimée March 2026” Edition is £2,202 in a limited edition of 169 pieces. For a carbon watch with an LJP movement, that’s respectable value. I also happen to think it’s the best Millisime so far with the unity of the jacquard strap, dial pattern and carbon case all working together nicely.
