Between it’s case shape, movement and overall design, Laurent Ferrier’s Galet Square Regulateur Black is essentially a greatest hits of the watchmaker’s past work.
As the name suggests, the watch is a combination of the Panerai-esque cushion case of the Galet Square, one of the most beautiful watches to come from Laurent Ferrier. The dial however comes straight from last year’s Regulateur, which means additional legibility due to the separate sub dial, as does the superb micro-rotor movement.
Finally, there’s the combination of rose gold and black that has always been a favourite of Ferrier. The back of the watch is exquisitely finished with the bridges wearing the Côtes-de-Genève motif while the mainplate is decorated with a delightful circular pattern.
This is to all intents and purposes, the perfect Laurent Ferrier – at least as most of their collectors are concerned. And us of course. We like it a lot.
