John Lobb are no strangers to fine footwear. In fact, they’re quite the confident hand at it, having spent their entire lifespan making sure that the eminently well-heeled stay that way. Even by their lofty standards however, the new Artisans’ Series is stunning.
The whole collection is a celebration of the craftsmanship at the core of a pair of John Lobb shoes which is goes without saying is extraordinary. Designed by Artistic Director Paula Gerbase, the collection is as elegant as ever, but has comfort at its core more than formality.
Don’t get us wrong, the Artisan collection won’t include any sneakers, but the way the capsule collection hugs the foot, along with the leather sole diamond-patterned for grip make them surprisingly practical. Each pair is bespoke so that, other than the touches running through the series like the aforementioned sporty shape and a bevelled inside waist you have carte blanche in the design.
The Artisan Series is, put simply, John Lobb’s world-renowned shoemaking taken to the nth degree; it’s where you can find their finest materials, unique fastenings and exquisite details. In short, they are possibly the best bespoke shoes in the world.
