Stainless steel is pretty common in watchmaking, at least when it comes to cases. Dials though? That’s something different entirely. It’s also the key feature of Slovakian artisan watchmaker Molnar Fabry’s latest creation. In the new Tech Art Skeleton over 300 hours have gone into creating a beautifully ornate steel dial. Why? Because the bevelled edges and mirror polish, impossible in most other materials, are absolutely stunning.
The movement has Molnar Fabry’s signature finishing, with skeletonisation of a standard, reliable Unitas movement taking it to new heights. The sandblasted black rhodium also makes a superb contrast with the new, brightly shining dial.
It’s a wonderfully unnecessary watch, and shows just why Molnar Fabry are one to watch in the future.
