Vario Futurist Tantalum Edition, $2,999 (approx. £2,250)

Vario Futurist Tantalum Edition

Tantalum is one of the hardest metals in watchmaking to work with. It’s dense and gummy, and it quickly wears out cutting tools, which is why Vario is making so few Futurist cases from it. The 39mm watch has a sunburst dial, a faceted sapphire crystal, 100m water resistance, a Miyota 9039 automatic movement and a RIOS1931 shell cordovan strap. It comes in seven colourways, with no more than five of each. There’s no standard checkout – allocation is by expression of interest through Vario’s newsletter.

Kronsegler Mars Explorer Automatic, RRP £670, OT Special Price £499

Kronsegler Mars Explorer Blue Red
Citizen Attesa - Discover More

The Mars Explorer is basically a space mission on your wrist – the dial layers embossed space particles over enamel, with a Mars disk carrying the date, a 24-hour Earth disk and an ion-plated space-probe seconds hand. Inside the 46mm 316L steel case is the KS024.021D automatic, built on a Citizen base with a 24h modification and a 38-42 hour power reserve. You also get sapphire with anti-reflective coating, 50m water resistance and Mars data engraved on the caseback. Five colourways, 100 pieces of each, and a special offer price for Oracle Time readers using the link below.

Mudita Radiant, From £605

Mudita Radiant

A watch for minimalists, the Radiant trades logos for legibility: just a Sellita SW 200 Elaboré automatic accurate to ±7-20 seconds a day and a 38-hour reserve. The brushed 316L steel case, built with Chrono AG in Solothurn, carries a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and Super-LumiNova BGW9 on the dial. Three case sizes – 32mm, 37mm and 40mm – and six nature-toned dials, from Natural White to Pebble Gray, come with vegan quick-release straps and 100m water resistance.

Available at Mudita.

Matthew Mercury Dan W Anniversary, £479

Matthew Mercury Dan W Anniversary

The Dan W Anniversary was made with weddings in mind, and it shows – a pristine white dial, gold-plated hands and accents, and that gold carried through to a line running down the stainless steel bracelet. The 42mm case is 316L steel and only 9.8mm thick, with a sapphire crystal, 50m water resistance and a Swiss-made Ronda 3540.D quartz chronograph movement inside. It’s a natural pick for a groom on the day, and it’ll look just as good the other 364.

Available at Matthew Mercury.

Maystone Prosperity GMT, £349

Maystone Prosperity GMT

Maystone’s Prosperity GMT is a bird-of-prey-inspired collection of five GMTs – Snowy Owl, Red Kite, Golden Eagle and Black Hawk, plus Serene Skies. The Snowy Owl gives you the idea: a matte dial with a raised GMT ring, talon-inspired indices and a yellow GMT hand standing in for the bird’s eyes, all on a 38mm case with twisted lugs that nod to wings in motion. The Prosperity Snowy Owl and Prosperity Serene Skies are back in stock in late November or early December.

Available at Maystone Watches.
