Wraven Labs Laptop Pad, $32 early-bird (approx. £24)

Watches take more of a beating from a laptop’s corner than most owners realise, catching the top edge and the side alike. The Wraven Laptop Pad wraps around both, using two mirrored pads – one per corner – built from three layers finished in a microfibre surface, and thin enough at under 1mm that the laptop still shuts. It’s stick-on and peel-off, so fitting or removing it takes seconds rather than tools. Reserve one for $1 now and you’ll lock in the early-bird price before it ships. The MSRP is $45 (approx. £34).
Available at Wraven Labs.
Erwin Sattler Rotalis 2, POA

Erwin Sattler builds its watch winders the way it builds clocks – in a manufactory in Gräfelfing near Munich, and limited to just 20 examples of the Rotalis 2. The case is natural walnut with visible open-pored grain and metal inlay framing, housing two independently programmable winders driven by precision ball-bearing motors to keep things quiet, and lit from within by LED. Wi-Fi connectivity ties into a database of more than 12,000 watch models, so each winder can match the exact rotation a given automatic needs. It runs on mains power or batteries, whichever suits the display cabinet.

Tawbury Fraser 8 Watch Case in Espresso Brown, $189 (approx. £140)

The Fraser trades the usual hinged watch box for a zip-round travel case that still holds its shape, in a rigid shell wrapped in top-grain leather. Eight slots sit inside a suede-lined interior, available with standard or extra small pillows for wrists between 5.5in and 7.7in, and a removable lid insert doubles as a strap-changing mat. At under a kilo, it’s built to travel, not sit on a shelf – though it won’t look bad on the shelf either. Espresso Brown is shown here, and it’s also offered in Midnight Black and Truffle Taupe.
Available at Tawbury.
Nomad Watch Works Custom Watch Strap, From £129

Nothing refreshes a watch quite like a new strap, and Nomad’s made-to-order service lets you build exactly the one you want. Leather comes first – Horween, Epsom, Togo, crocodile or ostrich, across more than 50 colourways – then length, thickness, taper and stitching colour and method, all worked through with the atelier. Every strap is cut and stitched by hand to the wearer’s wrist size, then built to fit the case and buckle rather than the other way round. Standard, foldover clasp and spring deployant clasp options are all available, whatever the watch on the other end.
Available at Nomad Watch Works.
