The FIFA World Cup is one of the biggest sporting events in the world with billions of spectators joining in on the fun of top-level sport. Whether you’re seasoned football fan who never miss a game (like half the people in the Oracle Time office) or someone who only watches people kick a ball once every four years (like me) the World Cup brings people together in a way that only the Olympics can rival. Now, for the very first time, FIFA are adding wristwatches to the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Official Licensed Products program. Those wristwatches are being produced by AXIA, the US microbrand known for its ultra-custom designs for teams, universities and government agencies.
While there are 48 countries taking part in the World Cup this year, only 14 of them are immortalised into wristwatch form. Those are the three host nations of Canada, Mexico and the United States, seven of the past World Champions including Brazil, Argentina, Germany, Spain, France, England and Uruguay, and then four prominent footballing nations in Portugal, Morocco, Japan and the Netherlands. There will then be a 15th winner’s edition dedicated to the country that wins the whole event. As a nice touch, if you order one of the 14 existing versions and then that country also wins, you can upgrade to the winner’s edition instead at no extra cost.
To increase the number of options available to collectors (ensuring you get the perfect watch for you to commemorate the occasion) each country has not one but three distinct watches to choose from in the AXIA Official FIFA World Cup 2026 wristwatch collection. Those are the Argos, Enosi and Kosmos. Let’s break each of those down.
Kicking off with Argos (pun intended), this is their top end model with professional diving specs of 300m water resistance. It measures 42mm in diameter x 13.3mm thickness and is produced in steel with a 5-link bracelet featuring a custom FIFA buckle. It has a coin-edge bezel with 60-minute timer in the relevant country’s signature colour. Red for Canada, green for Mexico and so on. The dials are also colour matched to their countries with an embossed 26 pattern marking the year. Inside is the ETA 2824 movement with 38-hour power reserve. It’s priced at $1,495 (approx. £1,100) in a limited edition of 80 pieces per country.
Second up as a more accessible option is the Enosi. Compared to the Argos it’s a slimmer, daily wear sports watch rather than a tool watch. It measures 38mm x 10.3mm so you can immediately appreciate its more svelte profile. As with the Argos it has the country’s signature colour across the dial with embossed 26 motif. It’s powered by the Sellita SW200 with 38-hour power reserve. The Enosi is also limited to 80 pieces per country but this time at $795 (approx. £590).
Last up is the watch aimed more at the youth rather than serious watch collectors, the Kosmos. To cover it quickly, it’s powered by a Miyota quartz movement with a 36mm in bio-ceramic, which is essentially an advanced type of plastic used across many famous accessible watches. It’s $225 (approx. £170) in a more widely available quantity of 400 per country.
The watches for specific countries will be released in staggered drops starting from today in the lead up to the World Cup in June. You can register on the AXIA website to access a 48-hour pre-sale window. There are also 20 Collector Box Sets for each country consisting of all three watches and a walnut box featuring hand-painted and signed artwork by renowned sports artist Lili Cantero. The 20 watches for the Collector’s Box Set are a subset of the full quantity for each watch.
