You say ”Nobody is actually going down 6,000m and relying on a watch". Well, no one is going down to 6000m (unless it's in an extreme deep sea bathyscaphe). At that pressure, your watch might be intact, but you would be squished to a jelly by pressures equivalent to a jumbo jet per square inch of body. You might as well be wearing a watch designed to withstand 1000 degrees C and jump into a volcano.

Incredibly handy to have a watch that still works at a depth where your body would be crushed into a mess of splintered bone and goo. The lume bright enough cast a dim light on the unspeakable horror of your mangled corpse.

Much as I like Nivada, "erotic" is an imaginative stretch too far for the case back!
