From chequered flags to a grid painted onto tarmac, the stark contrast of black and white is synonymous with high-octane racing. It’s a colourway that’s even bled into racing livery and, more to the point, automotive-inspired watches over the years.
Now it’s SevenFriday’s turn to interpret the waving flag at the end of a tough race in their own way. The result: the P3C/07 White Carbon.

Once again, the bold, 47.6 x 47mm cushion case is rendered in black DLC stainless steel, with lightweight, geometrically-grained carbon fibre across the bezel and animation ring. The latter is a material inextricably linked to high-performance racing, yet while the recently-released Red Carbon edition is all heat and fire, the white edition cools things down to frosty levels.

Lacquer highlights, bezel insert, sunray-brushed dial, even the main body of the competition-grade safety belt strap are all bright, clean, crisp white. It’s an eye-catching contrast and one that plays with SevenFriday’s industrial, multi-layered construction. It’s cool in more ways than one.

The engine inside is the Miyota 82S7 automatic movement, a reliable number that Seven Friday has made their own, complete with a 40-hour power reserve. Embedded in the caseback is the brand’s signature NFC chip, used for authenticating and registering the watch via the SevenFriday App. Given the watches’ status as cult collectors’ pieces, that’s good to know.
The P3C/06 White Carbon will set you back CHF 1’547, roughly £1,270, which for a carbon-clad chunk of frosty contrast and overt nods to high speed horology, isn’t bad at all.
