The phoenix has nothing on the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park. Less than a year on from the fire that ripped through several floors of one of Knightsbridge’s most prestigious hotels, the MO is fully reopening after the most extensive restoration in its 117-year existence. March LA.B in London
It kind of makes sense that March LA.B has made it to London; the brand is based in both LA and Biarritz, so you can see us as a halfway house between the two. At least for the moment, obviously. Opening this month and housed on 47 Lexington Street, if you’re after some cool, accessible vintage-inspired timepieces, it’ll be well worth a visit. If you want more proof, it’s one of the first places you’ll be able to get hold of their new release post- Basel – and the Mansart is well worth trying on. More geometrically art deco than a Great Gatsby-themed party, it epitomises the March LA.B watchmaking philosophy. At £1,050 you won’t regret it. march-lab.com
