At the end of 2017, Alexander Shorokhoff celebrated its 25th anniversary by revealing a new watch for all eyes to see. For a brand where creativity rules all – combining unusual forms and colours, and fitting pieces with completely restored Russian movements is second nature to them – it’s no surprise Alexander Shorokhoff’s celebratory piece, the Dostoevsky Automatic Winding Chronograph, is far from ordinary.
Part of the Dostoevsky family of watches, this chronograph shares the same case as the manual winding movement models, but has its feet manufactured separately so the centre of the watch can be easily brushed, while a lever at the push button means they can smoothly be attached to the case. The roulette aesthetic, familiar from other models in the Dostoevsky collection, is just as striking thanks to its subtle pops of colour.
