Frederique Constant Launch Classic Worldtimer Manufacture with 3-Day Power Reserve

Frederique Constant Classic Worldtimer Manufacture FC-719BLW3H6

The Classic Worldtimer Manufacture has been a staple of Frederique Constant’s collections since its introduction over a decade ago, but for 2026 they’re giving the model a significant spruce up. With an updated case and more importantly a new movement, it’s the most optimised version of the Worldtimer to date. It’s also available in two standard versions and limited edition.

For the case, it has been slimmed down from 42mm to 40mm, improving its wearability and convenience. That’s important for a travel watch as larger diameters can be more prone to knocks and bumps. Not to mention that smaller sizes are often more comfortable to wear for extended periods such as during a plane flight. Both the two standard models and special edition are made from steel, but the 88-piece special edition has a diamond bezel to set it apart.

As part of the more condensed case design, they’ve decided to remove the former date window to ensure the dial remains easily readable at the new size. It gives the display a cleaner appearance, which is greatly appreciated given the complexity of the atlas style display to begin with. There is a depiction of the globe in the centre of the dial with either a dark gradient blue ocean on the standard model on leather strap, a navy blue sunray brush on the bracelet model or light blue on the limited edition.

Around that is a rotating 24-hour disk with day/night indication that corresponds to the peripheral cities ring that displays all the time zones of the world simultaneously. That’s what makes a worldtimer the premier travel complication, allowing you to know precisely where you are on a global context at all times. Also useful for international meetings on a daily basis.

Powering the watch is the new manufacture movement FC-719, a replacement for the previous FC-718. The headline news here is that that power reserve has increased from 38-hours to 72-hours, a 90% increase in efficiency and taking it up to a 3-day power reserve. That hits the golden weekend-proof statistic where you can put it down on Friday evening and it will still be ticking on Monday morning. Great for user convenience.

For pricing and availability, both the standard models are £4,395, which makes sense because the one with the leather strap has the more complex dial treatment while the other is on a metal bracelet – balancing out the prices. The 88-piece limited edition is then £6,995.
