Watches & Wonders has rolled around once again, the biggest watch event of the annual calendar. It’s the show that sees watch brands from across the globe descend on Geneva to announce their latest slate of releases, showcase their watches and meet with the media, retailers and of course collectors. In fact, while the show was originally focussed around being an industry insider event, it’s steadily become more and more public facing.
The show is taking place, as usual, in the Geneva Palexpo, a huge convention centre near the airport. Participating brands each have a stand that they decorate and design to match the theme of their watches. Rolex for example have a huge building-sized stand that’s done up in the style of one of their boutiques, while Grand Seiko’s takes on a Japanese charm. Many of the smaller, independent brands then have rooms clustered in the centre of the Palexpo. Every year it feels more and more like a true wristwatch convention.

In addition to Watches & Wonders, there are a host of additional events taking place throughout the city. Time To Watches is the second largest event and is set to take place at the Villa Sarasin, a short walk from the Palexpo. Many brands are also holding their own events in the many high end hotels near the lakefront or across their boutiques in the city. It’s a veritable week of watches in Geneva with the majority of shows taking place from 1st-6th April.
