Brellum have been on a tear with their limited edition releases lately and hot on the heels of February’s Pilot GMT LE.1 comes the new Brellum Pandial LE.4 DD Emerald Green Chronometer. The new piece riffs on their classic Pandial design in a sleek new white and green colourway.

It features a 43mm diameter case in stainless steel with a round design and a combination of brushed and polished surfaces. Perhaps unsurprisingly for the Emerald Green edition, the tachymeter bezel, inner flange and tricompax chronograph subdials are presented in a verdant shade of green. It’s an interesting shade, at first I wasn’t sure that emerald was the right name for it, maybe it’s more of a forest green, but on reflection it is emerald with a more matte finish than I traditionally associate with the colour. It pairs nicely with the white dial, which gives the whole piece a light and vibrant appearance.

The Pandial LE.4 DD Emerald Green Chronometer’s display itself consists of a 30-minute timer at 12 o’clock, a day-date window at 3, 12-hour timer at 6 and small seconds subdial at 9. There’s then the central hand stack with hours and minutes as well as chronograph seconds that works in conjunction with the tachymeter bezel to allow the wearer to calculate speed or distance travelled.

Housed inside is the Calibre BRELLUM BR-750-DD, base Valjoux 7750. It has an approximate 46-hour power reserve and has COSC chronometer certification, meaning it has completed rigorous accuracy and reliability testing. With its gold coloured skeleton rotor, it looks great through the exhibition caseback too.

When it comes to pricing and availability, the Brellum Pandial LE.4 DD Emerald Green Chronometer is likely to be very exclusive. Not because it’s expensive but because it’s actually exceedingly well priced at CHF 2,990 (approx. £2,690) and there are only 23 of them available, which is sure to mean they’re snapped up fast. If the year was still 2021 with green watches in the ascendancy, I’d jump on this without question, although in 2023 it’s still a nice edition that sits well alongside the non-limited blue and reverse panda versions.
