THE GARAGE (Islington)
The Garage in Islington, which has hosted everyone from Radiohead to Lil Yachty and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, is open again after an extensive refurb. As well as remaining a cool music venue, it is now also a coffee stop and craft beer and cocktail bar, with a tempting and extensive menu to boot.

ARTHUR HOOPER’S (Southwark)
Arthur Hooper’s, overlooking Borough Market, is a real find. A beautifully styled interior – think British artworks and an abundance of steel, concrete and wood – are the perfect backdrop to a modern European menu made up of small plates and sharing platters.

NOBU (Shoreditch)
One of the highlights, obviously, of the new Nobu Hotel Shoreditch is the restaurant. So what can we expect? We’re told the enormous, 240-seater will feature all the much-loved, signature dishes as well as new ones to reflect its urban location. It will also be the first Nobu to offer breakfast – match a waffle with chicken and smoked maple ponzu, anyone? – so expect your next few breakfast meetings to be held here.

ZONA N16 (Stoke Newington)
North London residents rejoice: Stoke Newington has got a new brunch spot and it’s good. With delights such as open top Rubens, pulled pork Benedicts and smokey bacon sloppy Joes on the menu, we reckon it’s even worth a trip across the city for.
